Plan pilot runs, repeat batches and bridge production with one manufacturing team. HY3D Print reviews your part design, material, quantities and approval requirements to connect prototypes with low-volume manufacturing in Dongguan, China.
A small production order needs more than copies of a prototype. Define the drawing revision, material, appearance and measurements that make a part acceptable. Share the initial order and likely repeat quantities separately: the suitable process depends on the part as well as the batch size. We discuss printing, machining, silicone casting or injection tooling against that common brief.
Separate samples from production
State how many approval samples and how many production parts you need. Include any variants, colors and assembly steps. If the design is still changing, identify which revision will be used for the quotation and which features are unresolved.
Compare the full manufacturing scope
Ask for part production, master-model or tooling work, finishing, inspection, packaging and shipping to be identified. For casting and molding, review the tooling charge separately from the part price. Do not compare totals with different materials or acceptance requirements.
Set a repeat-order specification
Agree on the approved revision, material, finish reference and inspection scope before the batch begins. Confirm how a sample will be approved and how future changes will be reviewed. Reorders should reference those agreed requirements rather than a photograph alone.
Manufacturing routes to discuss
Choose a service below for process-specific applications, material considerations and quote requirements. The final route is confirmed after reviewing your project.
Replicate an approved master model for development samples and low-volume parts. Confirm the casting material, parting lines, mold scope and finish before ordering.
Evaluate molded production together with new or existing tooling. Confirm resin, finish, machine suitability, quantity and sample approval for your project.
What to send for a project quote
Approved CAD revision and dimensioned drawing
Sample quantity, initial batch and expected repeat orders
Material grade, color, finish and acceptance requirements
Tooling or master-model scope, where applicable
Inspection, packaging, destination and delivery requirements
Parts are manufactured in Dongguan, China, not at a local US or European facility. Send your delivery country and postal code with the CAD revision, quantity and target arrival date. Identify drawing units explicitly: millimeters or inches.
Request a quotation that separates parts, finishing, tooling where applicable, and freight. Confirm who handles import clearance and any duties or taxes before ordering. Production time and transit time are separate; neither is guaranteed before review.
Agree on the sample before the batch
Mark critical dimensions, mating surfaces and cosmetic requirements on a drawing. Ask us to confirm the available material documentation, inspection records and sample approval method before production. Tell us about any confidentiality agreement before sending sensitive design files.
For regulated or safety-critical applications, identify the required certifications and tests first. A workshop photo or sample image is not evidence of certification or suitability for that application.
Before you order
What is the minimum order quantity?
There is no single quantity that applies to every process and part. Send the sample and batch quantities you want quoted. We review geometry, material, tooling and finishing before confirming a suitable manufacturing plan.
Should I choose vacuum casting or injection molding?
Share the design, intended material properties, quantities and repeat-order plan. Vacuum casting uses a master model and silicone mold; injection molding requires suitable tooling. We can compare their project scope, sample approval and cost structure before you commit.
